If the consumer were to spend all of his/her money, he/she would quickly run out of money and be out of business. The idea of the trade is that he/she puts money into his or her bank account and gives up some of his/her creative energy.

However, this exchange does not mean that the consumer is stupid or less intelligent than the creator. The consumer may very well be more intelligent than the creator at times, but this is simply not true when it comes to making money.
